Guido Maria Kretschmer is a German fashion designer. He also has worked as a television juror among others Shopping Queen and The Super Talent. Guido Maria Kretschmer grew up in Münster. After graduation, he moved to the Spanish island of Ibiza. His design career began with a Spartan stand at the popular hippy market of the Balearic island. Here Udo Lindenberg became aware of him, who ordered his former tour brocade jackets.
Kretschmer went on to study at the School of Fashion in Barcelona. His first major order was the creation of uniforms for the crew members of the airline Hapag Lloyd. In 1987 he founded the Westphalian his fashion label, initially with three employees and worked mainly for the corporate fashion area. With the founding of the label Guido Maria Couture he put then in 2004 its focus on creativity at the design of an exclusive day and evening wear as well as to arranged accessories.
His first fashion show in this division he showed in Shanghai and Tokyo. The actress Katharina Thalbach let him design Wilde-piece stage wardrobe for an Oscar. Since then he has worked for various kostümbildnerisch theater and film productions.
